I tried take advantage of this “special offer,” but found the prices in the middle of the travel period to be exactly the same as they have been for the past two weeks- disappointing. Does this special deal exist?
Sorry if we’re disappointing you David, but yes, the offer actually exists. At least according to our yield department! : )
However, like it says, it’s only valid on certain dates and for a limited number of seats on return flights to Reykjavik from London and Copenhagen.
Even though you might not find them on the exact dates you’re looking for, you should still be able to find the Icebreaker seats in the booking engine. Just note that the price is shown as 41 pounds (or 63 euros) on step 2, and then taxes and charges (which vary by airport) are added on step 3.
Hope this helps!
also tried to book flights… the deal says inclusive of taxes but then are added so the deal doesn’t appear to exist, have tried various dates but not one comes up at the price. I have tried flights midweek thinking that should make a difference and it hasn’t.Exactly which dates are currently left for this offer?
Hi Linda — I guess we could just repeat what I said in my reply to David here earlier, but here goes: if you search for a return flight to Iceland from Copenhagen or London sometime in the period from 1 February to 31 May, you will be able to find a combination of flights for an amount as low as 150 pounds (1,599 in Danish kroner, or an equivalent amount in another currency), including taxes and charges on selected dates. Trust us, they’re there. If you have any problems finding these flights on our site, please don’t hesitate to call our Help Centre and ask for assistance.
hi, will the icebreaker offer be on again anytime soon?
You know it! We never know exactly when they will come along, but I can say that you should keep an eye on the website for some action soon.
Even better, sign up for our newsletter and be the first one of your friends to book a seat.
What has happened to the flights from Stansted to Akureyri?
I love holidaying in the north, and despise having to fly into Keflavik, spend several hours getting from Keflavik to the domestic airport, and taking Air Iceland to Akureyri.
I’m sure I’m not alone.
Robert, you are most definitely not alone in your love of the remote parts of Iceland. And they love you back.
This summer we will be including routes from Copenhagen to both Akureyri in the north and Egilsstaðir in the east (talk about wild and remote!).
So, you’ve just got to get yourself over to Copenhagen and you’re all set.
